GERMAN AFTERMARKET SUPPLIER Wunderlich is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, and what better way to mark the vent than to produce a special commemorative bike, the “White
Star”—an R nine T conversion in Café Racer style.
Highlighted by the white tank, the bike is raised, fitted with forks
30mm-longer and a 15mm-longer adjustable rear shock, which is said to improve
the ride, while a new Wunderlich Paralever strut and steering damper serve to upgrade the chassis, too. The
bike’s new image is further enhanced by the high-level exhaust system with twin silencers mounted on the
left side beneath a new brown leather solo seat unit. Clip-on handlebars are also fitted, plus a MotoGadget
instrument panel, new indicators, number plate holders, etc. from the Wunderich catalog.
Overall, the “White Star” is a very well-conceived and memorable conversion.
Dr. John Guzzi 8V Tribute Kit
Readers may recall the computer images of Ghezzi & Brian’s Dr. JohnTribute Kit,meant
to convert Guzzi’s Daytona into
a replica of the famous racer.
Bruno Saturno has not radically changed the 2014 kit, but
has modified it to fit the 1100
Sport and V11 with 2-valve
engines as well as the Cen-tauro 4-V.
The basic kit includes the
fairing and headlights, front
and rear subframes, rear seat
unit, exhaust supports, etc.,
with the option of other engine
performance equipment to suit
individual rider preferences.
Photos show the kit fitted to
a 1100 Sport—certainly a stunning transformation.
